A new Pikachu-themed event appears to be coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket on October 20, bringing a large collection of special rewards centered around the franchise mascot. Leaked event information points to daily login missions, exclusive Pikachu Packs, cosmetic items and, most importantly, a new Pikachu ex Immersive card.
Pokémon TCG Pocket Pikachu Event Rewards
According to the currently available event information, players will be able to earn rewards simply by logging into the game across multiple days. Two Different Pikachu Packs
One particularly interesting detail is that the event appears to feature two different types of Pikachu Packs. Current leaked information suggests that one pack contains three cards with the possibility of receiving a card above Diamond rarity, while another three-card pack may offer even stronger rarity potential.
A New Pikachu ex Immersive Card
The highlight of the event appears to be a new Pikachu ex Immersive card. The card uses the familiar Pikachu ex gameplay design with 120 HP and Thunderbolt dealing 150 damage while discarding all Energy attached to Pikachu ex.
Pokémon's Pikachu Celebration Continues
The timing is particularly interesting because Pikachu is also at the center of the Pokémon TCG's 30th anniversary celebrations. The physical Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration expansion features 30 different Pikachu cards, with one Pikachu included in every booster pack. The physical 30th Celebration set also features its own Pikachu ex. While this is not the same card as the Pokémon TCG Pocket version, the two releases make the wider focus on Pikachu across Pokémon's 30th anniversary particularly noticeable. The physical Pikachu ex has 190 HP, Pika-Pika Parade and a 200-damage Thunderbolt attack.

More Pokémon TCG Pocket Events Are Coming in October
The Pikachu event will arrive during an already busy October for Pokémon TCG Pocket. A Mega Garchomp ex Drop Event is also scheduled for mid-to-late October, allowing players to earn B Series Promo Packs Vol. 13 through special Solo Battles. With special Pikachu Packs, exclusive cosmetics and a new Immersive card seemingly on the way, October is shaping up to be another packed month for Pokémon TCG Pocket.
