Guide

Sanbi is one of the more disruptive Clan Bosses in NARUTO: Ninja Cards because its ability can repeatedly affect your entire board.

When Sanbi is deployed, it applies Weaken [2] and Slow [4s] to all rival cards. Even worse, whenever Sanbi loses Chakra from any source, the skill is triggered again. This means your cards can repeatedly be hit by Weaken and Slow throughout the fight.

This deck is built specifically around that problem.

Instead of relying on a fragile offensive setup, the deck uses a heavy Guard core. Eight of the ten cards provide Guard, with Kimimaro, Kisame and Sakura Haruno serving as some of the most important defensive pieces.

Kimimaro is a key card thanks to Guard [5], giving the deck an extremely durable defensive option. Kisame provides Guard [4] and gains Chakra [+1] whenever his Guard activates while also applying Weaken [1] to the rival that triggered it.

Sakura Haruno is another standout card because Unyielding gives her Permanent Guard. Every time her Guard activates, she also gains Chakra [+1] and switches lanes, allowing her to continue generating value throughout the fight.

Sasuke Uchiha, Temari, Jiraiya, Hanzaki and Orochimaru complete the Guard-heavy core. Several of these cards turn Guard activations into additional effects such as Chakra generation, Weaken or Push.

Tayuya and Madame Shijimi are the two utility cards outside the Guard core. Tayuya provides powerful board presence through her Doki summons, while Madame Shijimi provides Chakra and Slow support.

The result is a deck designed specifically to remain functional under Sanbi's repeated disruption while still maintaining enough board presence to keep scoring hits.

Strategy — how the deck works

The main strategy is to establish a durable Guard-heavy board before focusing on maximum pressure.

Prioritize your strongest Guard cards whenever possible. Kimimaro's Guard [5] and Kisame's Guard [4] make them excellent defensive anchors, while Sakura Haruno's Permanent Guard allows her to keep providing value without running out of Guard charges.

Several cards reward you whenever Guard activates. Kisame gains Chakra [+1] and applies Weaken [1], Sasuke gains Chakra [+2], Sakura gains Chakra [+1] and switches lanes, Temari can Push [3] all rivals in her lane, and Jiraiya applies Weaken [2] to the rival that triggered his Guard.

Tayuya fills a different role. If Doki Summoning successfully activates, she can create a Doki demon on every lane and significantly increase your board presence. This gives the deck an additional way to create pressure without abandoning the defensive Guard strategy.

The key against Sanbi is not simply deploying as many cards as possible. Build a board that can continue functioning through repeated Weaken [2] and Slow [4s] effects, then use your Guard activations, summons and utility effects to maintain pressure.

Be especially careful with effects that cause Sanbi to lose Chakra, because losing Chakra from any source re-triggers Sanbi's skill and applies another round of Weaken and Slow to your board.

Strengths

  • Extremely strong Guard-focused defensive core
  • Kimimaro provides powerful Guard [5]
  • Sakura Haruno has Permanent Guard
  • Multiple cards generate additional value when Guard activates
  • Strong Chakra generation through Kisame, Sasuke and Sakura
  • Temari provides strong Push-based lane control
  • Tayuya can create additional pressure across all three lanes
  • Built specifically to handle Sanbi's repeated disruption

Weaknesses

  • Sanbi can repeatedly apply Weaken [2] and Slow [4s] to the entire board
  • Triggering Sanbi's Chakra loss can re-activate its skill
  • Medium difficulty reduces Energy Capacity by 2
  • Hard difficulty reduces your Weaken effects to -1
  • Tayuya and Madame Shijimi do not provide Guard
  • Poor deployment timing can leave important cards exposed to repeated disruption

Matchup & gameplay notes

Sanbi's main skill applies Weaken [2] and Slow [4s] to all rival cards when deployed. The skill is triggered again whenever Sanbi loses Chakra from any source, so Chakra-loss interactions need to be considered carefully throughout the fight.

On Easy difficulty, the Underdog modifier causes rival cards to gain Chakra [+1] when deployed.

On Medium difficulty, Despairing reduces your Energy Capacity by 2. This significantly restricts deployment options and makes efficient Energy management much more important.

On Hard difficulty, Exhaustion reduces your Weaken skills to -1, lowering the effectiveness of several cards in this deck.

Kimimaro, Kisame and Sakura Haruno are particularly important cards to establish. Kimimaro provides Guard [5], Kisame provides Guard [4] with additional Chakra generation, and Sakura has Permanent Guard.

Try to get maximum value from Guard activations rather than treating Guard purely as a defensive mechanic. Several cards generate Chakra, Weaken rivals, Push enemies or switch lanes when Guard activates.

Use Tayuya's Doki Summoning to create additional board presence across multiple lanes when possible.

NARUTO: Ninja Cards – Nibi Clan Boss Deck Guide

Nibi is one of the most punishing Clan Bosses in NARUTO: Ninja Cards thanks to his ability to apply Burn(10s) to all rival cards on deploy. Instead of trying to build a slow board and simply survive the Burn, this deck takes a much more aggressive approach: flood all three lanes with cheap cards and summons, generate as many attacks as possible, and use Gaara – Sand Tsunami as the key control piece to Seal Nibi. The goal is simple: keep cards moving, keep generating bodies, and keep hitting the boss.
