# Best Tobirama Deck for the Zombie Weekend Event

The Zombie Weekend Event is here in Naruto: Ninja Cards, and this time the challenge is all about **Tobirama Senju**!

During Quick Matches, you earn **1 event point for every opposing card withdrawn by Edo Regeneration Tobirama (S2_069)**. The goal is to reach 100 points and unlock the exclusive Pumpkin Mask reward.

Instead of building a traditional Edo Tensei deck with multiple powerful attackers, we're focusing on one strategy: **turn Tobirama into a powerful, long-lasting fighter capable of winning as many encounters as possible.**

Our deck uses Chakra buffs, Rush effects, Guard, and healing to strengthen Tobirama while keeping the rest of the team focused on supporting him.

## Why Tobirama?

Tobirama Senju (S2_069) is a Rare card with 4 Energy, 5 base Chakra, and the skill **Edo Regeneration**.

- **Level 1:** When below base Chakra, recover 1 Chakra every 4 seconds until returning to base Chakra. - **Level 2:** The recovery interval improves to every 3 seconds.

This makes Tobirama a solid foundation for a deck built around repeated encounters. However, his regeneration alone isn't enough to consistently defeat stronger opponents.

That's why we're using several support cards to increase his Chakra, accelerate his movement, and help him survive.

## The Main Goal

Our priority isn't simply winning every match as quickly as possible. It's making sure Tobirama is the card responsible for as many opposing withdrawals as possible.

Every successful withdrawal caused by Tobirama brings us closer to the event reward.

This is a dedicated event-farming deck rather than a conventional competitive build, and that's exactly what makes it interesting.

Strategy — how the deck works

## 1. Build Your Tobirama

Tobirama starts with 5 Chakra, but we want to increase that value before sending him into dangerous encounters.

**Iruka Umino (S1_011)** is one of our best opening cards because he grants Chakra(+2) to the next ally deployed. If Tobirama receives this buff, he enters with 7 Chakra.

**Homura Mitokado (S2_036)** is another excellent setup option, granting the next ally Guard(1) and Chakra(+1).

**Tsume Inuzuka (S2_044)** gives the next ally Rush(+3s) and Chakra(+1), allowing Tobirama to move faster while gaining additional strength.

Remember that these effects apply to the next eligible ally. Deployment order is extremely important.

## 2. Keep Increasing His Chakra

Once Tobirama is on the field, several cards can strengthen him further.

- **Ebisu (S1_016):** Grants Chakra(+2) to the closest ally. - **Tsunami (S1_024):** Grants Chakra(+1) to two allies on her lane. - **Ayame (S1_038):** Grants Chakra(+2) to two lane allies in Mid Range. - **Sakura Haruno (S1_007):** Grants Chakra(+1) to lane allies after they succeed in an encounter.

Ebisu, Tsunami, and Ayame are especially useful for building a strong Tobirama, but positioning matters. Make sure he is within the required range and is one of the cards receiving the buff.

Sakura offers additional scaling during the match. Every successful encounter by an eligible lane ally can provide more Chakra.

## 3. Accelerate Tobirama

We want Tobirama to reach opposing cards and create scoring opportunities.

**Kyuroku Wagarashi (S3_042)** grants Rush(4s) to the next ally deployed on his lane.

Combined with Tsume's Rush support, this can help Tobirama engage opponents more quickly.

However, Kyuroku has a drawback: when he withdraws, he switches lanes and applies Slow(3s) to all allies on his lane.

Try to avoid letting that drawback interfere with Tobirama's most important encounters.

## 4. Protect Your Main Fighter

Tobirama's Edo Regeneration helps him recover Chakra when he falls below his base value, but it doesn't make him invincible.

**Tsunade (S3_062)** provides additional protection by healing the closest ally on her lane for 2 Chakra. She also heals a lane ally the first time that ally loses Chakra from any source.

Together with Guard from Homura, these defensive tools can help Tobirama survive longer and continue collecting event points.

## 5. Prioritize Tobirama's Withdrawals

This is the most important part of the entire strategy.

Avoid using other cards to eliminate opponents unnecessarily. Your support units should primarily strengthen, protect, or position Tobirama.

The more encounters Tobirama wins himself, the more opportunities you have to score points.

## Alternative: The Edo Tensei Approach

If you already own Orochimaru's Edo Tensei card, you can also experiment with summoning Tobirama through that strategy.

However, the traditional Edo Tensei build includes additional attackers such as Hashirama, which may reduce the number of withdrawals credited to Tobirama.

For dedicated Zombie Weekend Event farming, this support-focused version is the approach I would test first.

## Final Thoughts

The Zombie Weekend Event gives us a great reason to experiment with a different type of deck.

Instead of relying on powerful offensive skills, we're taking Tobirama's natural regeneration and combining it with multiple Chakra buffs, Rush effects, and defensive support.

The result is a deck designed around one simple objective: **keep Tobirama fighting and let him defeat as many opposing cards as possible.**

Good luck with your event grind, and let me know how many points you manage to collect!

Strengths

  • Strong Chakra buffs for Tobirama
  • Multiple Rush effects for faster encounters
  • Edo Regeneration provides sustained Chakra recovery
  • Guard and healing improve survivability
  • Dedicated strategy for earning Zombie Event points
  • Mostly accessible support cards

Weaknesses

  • Highly dependent on Tobirama staying active
  • Deployment order is important for next-ally buffs
  • Some support skills require precise lane positioning
  • Limited offensive skills outside Tobirama
  • Vulnerable to strong Weaken and withdrawal effects
  • Kyuroku's withdrawal effect can disrupt your lane

Matchup & gameplay notes

**Recommended opening:** Use Iruka, Homura, or Tsume to prepare buffs before deploying Tobirama.

**Best positioning:** Keep Tobirama close to Ebisu and within range of your lane-based Chakra and healing support.

**During encounters:** Prioritize opponents that Tobirama can defeat. Avoid unnecessarily weakening your own setup by sending support cards into unfavorable encounters.

**Against stronger opponents:** Build Tobirama's Chakra before engaging. Tsunade and Guard can help him survive difficult fights.

**Event scoring:** Only opposing withdrawals caused by the specified Edo Regeneration Tobirama count toward the challenge. Other Tobirama variants and withdrawals caused by unrelated cards should not be assumed to count.

**Important:** This is an event-focused theorycrafted deck. Its farming efficiency and the exact point attribution should be verified through Quick Matches.
