1. Natural Disaster Changes the Battlefield
Everything starts with:
Kyubi – Natural Disaster
Deploy to Mid Range:
Weaken(2) → all cards
and:
Push(1) → all rival cards
Then, while Kyubi remains active:
Weaken(1) → newly deployed cards
Kyubi therefore doesn't just provide a one-time board effect. He changes how subsequent deployments enter the battlefield.
But remember:
Weaken(2) hits ALL cards.
Your own board isn't protected from the initial effect.
That's why the supporting cards matter so much.
2. Tsunade Turns Weaken Into Healing
Tsunade – The Fifth provides one of the most important synergies in the deck.
On deploy:
Chakra(+1) → all allies
More importantly, while Tsunade is active:
Allied Weaken → Heal(2)
This gives you a way to recover value when your own cards are being Weakened.
With Natural Disaster deliberately creating a board where your cards can also be affected, Tsunade gives the deck a recovery engine rather than simply trying to avoid Weaken altogether.
3. Gaara Wants Your Deck to Weaken Cards
Gaara – Bloodlust attacks the strategy from the opposite direction.
Whenever your allies Weaken any number of cards:
Gaara gains Chakra(+1).
That means our numerous Weaken effects aren't only controlling rival cards — they're also capable of developing Gaara.
Kyubi, Sasuke, Zabuza and Tobirama all contribute to the deck's broader Weaken plan.
The more often your allies successfully apply Weaken, the more opportunities Gaara has to grow.
Key Cards & Synergies
Kyubi – Natural Disaster + Tsunade – The Fifth
This is the deck's signature interaction.
Natural Disaster
→ creates widespread Weaken pressure
Tsunade
→ gives your allied board a way to recover when allies are Weakened
The goal is to make Natural Disaster's symmetrical downside considerably easier for your side to handle.
Kyubi + Gaara – Bloodlust
Kyubi gives the deck another powerful source of Weaken.
Gaara wants allied cards to apply Weaken.
That means the deck's primary control mechanic simultaneously contributes to developing one of your threats.
Tobirama – Water Shock Wave
On deploy:
Weaken(2) all rivals
Slow(4s) all rivals
Unlike Natural Disaster's initial Weaken, this is aimed entirely at the rival board.
This makes Tobirama one of the deck's strongest large-scale control tools.
Sasuke – Fireball Jutsu
On deploy:
Weaken(2) all rivals in Mid Range
Sasuke provides a cheaper way to apply Weaken across multiple rival cards and fits naturally into the Gaara engine.
Zabuza – Demon
On deploy:
Weaken(1) all cards
If Zabuza has 3 Chakra or less:
Weaken(3) instead.
Like Kyubi, Zabuza can create a symmetrical effect, so deployment timing is important.
This is another card where the deck attempts to function better under widespread Weaken than the opponent does.
Naruto – Demon Fox Cloak
Rush(3s)
On deploy:
Chakra(+2)
And the first time Demon Fox Cloak goes below base Chakra:
Heal(2)
That gives Naruto immediate speed and Chakra while also providing a one-time recovery effect when he drops below his base Chakra.
Naruto – One-Tail Form
On every encounter:
Weaken(1)
And the first time One-Tail Form goes below base Chakra:
Heal(3) self
One-Tail Form fits especially well because he contributes another repeatable source of Weaken while also having his own recovery mechanic.
Sakura – Inner Fire
Sakura gives the deck another way to generate Chakra as the rival continues developing their board.
The first rival deployment on her lane gives Sakura:
Chakra(+3)
Further rival deployments on the lane:
Chakra(+1)
That can make her increasingly valuable in a lane where the opponent keeps trying to rebuild through your control.
Naruto – Sexy Jutsu
The 1/1 Naruto gives us a very cheap control option:
Pin(4s) one lane rival in Mid Range
It isn't part of the primary Weaken engine, but at only 1 Chakra it gives the deck an inexpensive way to interrupt an important rival while setting up the more expensive pieces.
